The External Organs in the Female Reproductive System
Where is the Urethra, Clitoris, and Labia.
It’s the 21st Century and I just realized some people have little or no clue about how their bodies are created, especially the female body. It is excusable for men to not fully understand the female anatomy because it’s not their body but women too? This is going to be a short read about what consists of the female sex organ.
Over the year women, especially older women would push general misconceptions to us as teenagers. And without adequate research we are unable to fully understand how our bodies are due to stigma and shame from what the society is telling us about our bodies. If I can remember correctly I once heard someone say the only reason our pee gushes out more than normal is because the vagina is very wide, which obviously generated from the misconception that our vaginas and our Urethras are the same.
That’s a lie.
Another misconception is that vaginas are loose due to excessive sex .
This is also not true.
Just to be clear, when a woman is in the mood, her vagina expands to accommodate the foreign object. Some people say things like “Her vagina is wide because she has slept with so many men” – but that’s not true. It is medically impossible to have a loose vagina because Vaginas are elastic and meant to stretch, the muscles expand and retract just like a rubber band. Your pelvis muscles can become slightly weaker with age or childbirth which can make the vagina loose.
It is also believed that once the vagina loses its elasticity and becomes loose forever but that is not true. If a vagina can bring forth a child and snapback, why would you think penis can cause permanent damage to the vagina?
The Vulva is the entirety of the external female organ. It includes the Labia majora (outer labia), Labia Minora (Inner labia), the clitoral hood, the clitoris, the urethral opening (Pee hole), and the Vagina.
Clitoral hood: The clitoral hood is a flap/fold of skin that surrounds and protects your clitoris. Just like the labia, the clitoral hoods come in all shapes, size, and colors. The clitoral hood exists to protect the sensitive tissue called the clitoris which has over 15,000 nerve endings making it one of the most sensitive feel-good zones.
Clitoris: The clitoris is the pea sized organ under the clitoral hood just above the Urethra. It is an erogenous zone that elicit a sexual response when stimulate just like the nipples, genital area, thighs or anywhere. It increases in size when it responds to sexual stimulation. Check this out to know more about the clitoris
The Urethra: I realized so many people, including women are not aware that they have a tiny hole (Pee hole) just below the Clitoris and above the vagina canal. The Urethral tube runs from your bladder to the opening right above your vagina. It is not connected to your vagina, and your vagina is not responsible for excreting urine.
The Labia Majora and Minora: The labia are folds of skin around your vaginal opening. The labia majora are usually fleshy and covered with pubic hair. The labia minora are inside the outer lips. They begin at your clitoris and end under the opening to your vagina. The labia can be short or long, wrinkled or smooth. Often one lip is longer than the other. They also vary in color from pink to brown to black. Some people have larger outer lips than inner lips, and many have larger inner lips than outer lips. Both are sensitive and swell when you get turned on.
The Vagina: The vagina is the Birth canal, okay? It’s also where the penis or sex toy, fingers, tampons, Menstrual cup, tongue or whatever you would like to insert goes. The vagina in its natural state is about 4-6 inches deep. It stretches to accommodate things when there is stimulation.
Dear women; There is nothing more important than knowing your body. It is what makes you a real woman. If you’d ask me I think it’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.
So! Get a hand mirror and get naked from the waist down, sit on a chair or the end of your bed and open your legs, putting one foot up on the chair or bed. Hold the mirror between your legs and angle it so you can see your vulva. Use your free hands to pull your outer and inner lips apart. Look at the very top of your “slit” and you will see a flap of skin that’s connected to your inner lips.
Doing this; You should be able to identify the urethra, vagina, vulva, Clitoris, labia, and also the g-spot, Etcetera.
Be kind to yourself!
